I felt for Carol here. She is desperately trying to hold onto her humanity and her hope that these people can still be saved, while Manousos is operating on pure survival instinct, viewing them as monsters that need to be eliminated.

The twist that changed everything came from Zosia. During a romantic getaway, Zosia reveals that the High Mind is using Carol’s frozen eggs to create a virus specifically designed to infect her. They believe the only way for Carol to be truly happy is to join them.
